Quilombellas Amefricanas Vol. 2  Coletânea Poética

An anthology of poems containing the works of several authors, including a selection of Sapphire’s poems translated into Portuguese by Denise Carrascosa and edited by Mel Adún.

 

American Quilombellas is an explosion of talent around the world. It is diasporic and plural. In the diversity of voices transcribed in the book, subjectivities of shared paths echo; and it's a party. Literary critic Mariana Andrade guarantees that “contrary to the colonial, Eurocentric, capitalist logic of dispute, merit, individuality, the black response has always been in the collectivity."
